We received a free car upgrade, and the staff at the counter were friendly and professional, which I appreciated. The driving experience was excellent — massage seats and other premium features made it really enjoyable. However, please be aware that the company’s pricing practices are questionable. An additional Premium Location fee of almost €80 was added, even though it was not included or clearly disclosed in the online booking price or in the rental agreement, despite the price being advertised as guaranteed. This kind of hidden mandatory surcharge appears to violate EU price transparency rules and feels like hidden profiteering. Overall, the experience was mixed: great staff and a perfect car, but dishonest pricing at the company level. If this extra fee were communicated clearly and included in the contract, my overall experience would be 5★.

Had a very good experience renting a car at the Airport in Hamburg. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff at the rental desk. This is the reason why I use Europcar. The car was clean and in good condition. It was easy to return the rental car. All in all a positive experience.

We had a great experience with Europcar starting with the ease of booking online and meeting our customer service representative John when we arrived in Hamburg. He was very helpful and nice to us. He took the time needed to make sure we understood the process. We loved the car we rented too. I highly recommend Europcar and will definitely be using them next time.

One of the best places to hire a car at Hamburg Airport. Excellent service and a great range of vehicles available. I would highly recommend it.

Euro car and the staff member at Hamburg airport was extremely helpful. Provided a car hire at short notice due to being let down by a competitor car hire firm. Euro car and their staff member avoided myself and family, including an 87 year old and 2 year old toddler being stranded at airport. A credit to customer service which is lacking in the competitor company I originally intended to use. Well done & thanks.

Not very helpful. I had forgotten my physical driving license (my fault, stupid me, no excuse). I had a digital version with me, but Europcar wouldn't even look at it. Having my wife do the rental instead (who had her driving license with her) was also not an option (somebody explain that to me, please) except for her doing a NEW rental at TRIPLE the price. Well, actually that would have cost us quadruple, since I wouldn't get my money back on the first rental. It's like Blockbuster in the early 2000s with their well known late-fees. A cash cow, but also the reason they eventually went bankrupt because customers left en masse once competition (Netflix) offered a customer friendly service. See you on the other side, Europcar. Obviously, 'trying again' didn't work - not even when I entered the text a second time. Well done, Europcar - you've managed to NOT get feedback from a customer yet again.
